"Rome for the Opera of Rome"
Providing the theatre with cultural iniatives and events connected to its programme, contributing to the artistic chore of the Opera from a public point of view. This is the goal behind the association of volunteers <<Roma per l'Opera di Roma>> founded on the 18th of July 2002. Founding members: Rosalba Becchetti, Clorinda Boniface, Rachele Burkhard (theory), Raffaella Chiariello, Daniela d'Amelio, Carlo Eleuteri, Maria Luisa Gaetani d'Aragona, Nicoletta Odescalchi, Maria Luisa Rebecchini, Maria Pia Ruspoli and Daniela Traldi (president) The association promotes and makes known the activity of the theatre by highlighting and publicising it's programme both in Italy and abroad in both journalist and cultural fields of relevance by a series of meetings, displays, and cultural exchange. The non profit making association is made up not only of the founders but also contributing and non contributing members. Among some of it's initiatives for the public is the << Open rehearsals - Saturday at the Opera>> for some of the repertoire. By tradition << Roma per l'Opera di Roma >> offers a gala dinner, on the opening night of the season, at the Hotel Quirinale.<< Roma per l'Opera di Roma >> complies to the Italian confederation and foundation for vocal and symphonic music founded on the 18th of july 2005, with its headquarters in Rome it has a total of twenty five foundations and associations supporting Italian theatres of symphonic, lyrical and ballet fields. For its activity in favour of the young and elderly, by proclamation of the ministry of social solidarity, it has been registered to the confederation of the national register of social promotion held at the presidenza di consiglio of ministry act: 383/00 ( decree n.673/II/2006).
It is the first time that an operating musical society supporting both lyrical and symphonic music of this genre has been recognised by a minstry department foreign to cultural activities.
In particular the result to the three <<European Days of Opera>> held contemporarily in all of Italy that have been extremely popular with both the regular public and newcomers.
